Week 8-9 Assignment This weeks assignment was sound, so my partner and I added some sound to our five master edits. Shot 1: The sound editing technique used here was post-synchronous dubbing. Post-synchronous dubbing is when the editors add in sound afterward over the already existing sound to create a finished product. The loud boom really emphasizes the impact of the movement, giving the audience a better understanding of the idea the director has. Shot 2: Music was the editing technique for this shot. An editor would add music to dramatize the action of the movie. In the context of our shot, the music was an orchestration, which might have been used at an important point in the movie, something that the audience should remember. Shot 3: For this shot, the voiceover was used as a sound editing technique.
